In 1752 a Dutch export vessel sank in the South China Seas.
The salvage operation in 1985 led by Englishman Mike Hatcher,
discovered gold & huge quantities of 18th century Ch'ing Dynasty porcelain.
These pieces were sold at auction in 1986, under the collective name of
"The Nanking Cargo"
Both Hannah West and Joanna Seaward are experts in their field, having
both worked extensively on the famous Nanking Cargo
which was recovered from the bottom of the South China Sea. It is worth
mentioning here that the china that Hannah restored was damaged on its
way back from Holland having lain perfectly in tact at the bottom of the
sea for hundreds of years!
Such is the reputation of these women that they have
been commissioned by museums and clients from all over the world, including
private collectors, the Royal Household, Top London Dealers, World wide
Auction houses and insurance companies and leading Museums. Such names
as Sir Richard Ormond, the retired director of the National
Maritime Museum and John Twitchet a renowned specialist
in Crown Derby appear in their portfolio of clients.
Knowing this, you can be assured that your treasured
pieces will be lovingly and professionally brought back to life.
